What's a g-spot vibrator?

First things first, let's tackle the definition of g-spot versus clitoral stimulation. Clitoral vibrators focus on your (you guessed it!) clitoris. Your clitoris is located on your vulva, above their vaginal opening and urethra. If you want to explore more, we suggest our article on tips for clitoral stimulation. Clit vibes are also often called external vibrators.

G-spot vibrators focus on (again, quite clear) your g-spot. Your g-spot is a small patch, about the size of a nickel or a quarter, on the front-facing wall of the vagina. Its technical name is the 'Gräfenberg spot,' named after a male scientist in the early twentieth century who research on the sensitive area. It wasn't until 1981 that the area was named the 'g-spot' in honor of Gräfenberg by other (male) scientists while publishing their research on female ejaculation.

How does the g-spot connect with female ejaculation? It's all in the orgasm. Clitoral orgasms and g-spot orgasms are both equally wonderful, but they are different. G-spot stimulation is far more likely to result in female ejaculation. Now, there's a lot of research that still needs to be done about female ejaculation to understand more about how or why it occurs but about 25-50% of women have reported experiencing the sensation at some point. The -spot orgasm is known to feel more earth-shattering to women, but they're less likely to occur without clitoral stimulation. Only around 10% of women report being able to orgasm with no clitoral stimulation.

G-spot vibrators are often also called dildos (in common jargon) and internal vibrators (more technical jargon). They're commonly less discreet than clitoral vibes, so if you're looking for a vibe you can accidentally leave out when guests are over–you might want to stick with the clit vibes. Might we suggest our own Limon?

What are some of the best g-spot vibrators?

Let's get some obvious points out of the way about g-spot toys (or any sex toy). Make sure any vibrator or sex toy you ever buy is made from high-quality, body-safe, 100% phthalate-free materials. Also, it always makes sense to opt for waterproof sex toys. And we're always a fan of USB rechargeable vibes.

Lelo's Classic Ella is a gorgeously designed g-spot vibe. Its bulbous head allows it to concentrate on the g-spot for intense vibrations. Lelo's Mona 2 will also live up to its name and have you moaning–it's a simple g-spot stimulator with no bells and whistles but a powerful moto

Doc Johnson is an iconic brand specializing in dildos. Doc Johnson's Lucid Dream vibrator is fantastically built with a powerful motor for mind-blowing orgasms.

The Rabbit vibrator is by far the most famous g-spot vibrator (may we suggest this 50 Shades of Grey themed edition?). Made famous in Sex and the City, the rabbit vibe has dual motors so that both the little bunny can vibrate its bunny ears against one's clit while still vibrating against one's g-spot. You can adjust the vibration modes to have different vibration patterns against both areas. There's a reason this
